the Kingom of Hungary (1200-1918)
The administrative division based on counties (konitat/Hun.megye) and districts (powiat/processus Hun. szolgabírói járás) had emerged in the Middle Ages since the 11th c., and despite the numerous administrative reforms is still valid. The key reforms were introduced in 1785-1790 and 1849-1860 and attempted ot centralise the adminittation within the entire Austrian monarchy.
Ustrój terytoriualny oparty o komitaty (megye) i powiaty (processus, reambulatio, węg. szolgabírói járás) ukształtował się w średniowieczu, od XI wieku, i mimo wielu prób reform administracyjnych obowiązuje zasadniczo po dzień dzisiejszy. Najważniejsze reformy miały miejsce w latach 1785-1790, 1849-1860 i były związane z próbą centralizacji administracyjnej w ramach monarchii austriackiej.
