Morphological distinctiveness - usually clear (location in the forest), but there are lodges located in the immediate vicinity of some other localities. Naming distinctiveness - clear from the second half of the 19th c. (previously forester's lodges had no proper names, later not always). Functional distinctiveness - the forester's lodge plays a role in the economy and forest administration.
Odrębność morfologiczna – przeważnie wyraźna (położenie w lesie), ale zdarzają się leśniczówki położone w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie innych miejscowości. Odrębność nazewnicza – od drugiej połowy XIX wieku (wcześniej bez nazw; później nie zawsze). Odrębność funkcjonalna – leśniczówka pełni rolę związaną z gospodarką i administracją leśną.
